Knowledgeable and gets the job done, but if empathy and compassion is what you are after, that is not her style.
She left me in a high risk delivery, occipital presentation, stalled labor for 8 HOURS with NO Epidural so she could see scheduled office patients. When she finally showed up to belatedly give me my epidural she let my excruciating unproductive labor continue for another 6 hours before doing a vacuum delivery. The pain was so bad I blacked out and have no memory of the birth. I tore clear through from vagina to rectum. Dr Gaunt is truly compassionate and caring Dr. I recommend her to everyone. She is the best
Amy is nice, but very limited in overall knowledge. She would probably be an excellent doc for someone without any complications. I switched Drs with my current pregnancy and feel much more supported and not as just another number. I wouldn't say she's bad, just not well versed in a lot of the complicated cases.
