I had my first visit with her almost 2 weeks ago. And I have bad anxiety so I think of things over and over ! Well I’m sitting here thinking now of how I really hope she is my delivery doctor!! She was nice she listened she didn’t judge me what so ever !! I absolutely enjoyed her !! Fingers crossed I have her for delivery! Very nice talks things out explained things!!! Others I’ve seen I’m literally in and out in 1 min.. 🙄
I am writing this review in the early hours of the morning as I haven't properly slept since meeting with this doctor. My level of concern that Labenne could possibly manage the birth of my child has me nothing less than terrified. Dr. Amanda LaBenne permanently disfigured my arm when she inserted my birth control implant. As soon as I noticed my arm start to change shape, I had it removed. They informed me that the implant was way too deep and struggled to even locate the implant in my arm. I would highly recommend everyone look elsewhere for an OB/GYN.
Dr. LaBenne saw me for a total of maybe 15 minutes in the three visits I saw her. Seeing a student each time you go to see your doctor is not professional. She was not very friendly and left the practice, and her patients hanging. No one told me that she was leaving, I found out when I tried to make a follow up. I would not recommend her and honestly will not follow up with anyone in this department at Wilmington Health. It’s a shame how patients are made to feel like a number.
I went into labor before my planned c-section and met Dr LaBenne in the throes of intense contractions. Her energy was calming and comforting and I had full faith in her immediately, which is fortunate because I had a complication during the csection and I didn’t even know until it was well resolved. She’s been kind, thorough, and knowledgeable at my follow up appointments as well. Couldn’t recommend her more.
