The front desk as well as other staff delayed in sending a prior authorization to the insurance company requiring me to make two additional trips to the office. They continued to give excuses and adding additional days to contact the pharmacy and insurance company which is now 2 weeks. I was also told by Jessica that she did not have time to contact anyone since I did not have the fax number. The pharmacy had already faxed over information a week ago. I told Dr. Chu that the test he ordered was not covered under my insurance. His assistant said that the test was covered and sent a blood sample to Athena Diagnostics, NO COVERED BY INSURANCE. The test would have been covered if it was performed by Quest. Bill not covered $8,470.00. Go to Dr. Chu at your own risk.
