I want to share with my fellow VA patients the exceptional physician we have serving us here in Houston! Dr. Sarwar has treated me at the VA for several years… it seems like 3 or 4. I always think of my trips to the VA to see her as “ visits” because she covers everything. But it is like telling it to my sister. Dr Sarwa has treated my husband for over 10 years and we couldn't be more thankful for her expertise in her field. She was the first doctor that really helped him with the pain and the uncontrolled movements. We have been to many doctors before who never helped him this much. Dr. Sarwar has been treating my husband for Parkinson's for 14 years and she consistently provides extraordinary, compassionate care. She always spends an entire hour each visit doing a very detailed physical assessment with questions about medication on/off periods, sleep/rest patterns, etc. She carefully makes medication changes and requests that she be updated on how he has responded.
