Received a referral to this doctor from insurance. I tried to book an appointment for my mother to apply for temporary SDI which requires a psych evaluation. She says to me that she can only do a psych evaluation but knows nothing about the application process afterwards. I kindly asked her if I could provide her with a link to the EDD website to explain to physicians what to do. She then hung up on me. I was really surprised to read some of the reviews because my experience with Dr. Hansen was completely different. She was very easy to get in touch with. I emailed all of our intake paperwork, and she got us in for an appointment pretty quickly. We were seen on time, and her office felt calm and comfortable. What meant the most to me was how much attention she paid to everything I had to say and to all of the documents I brought. Was extremely nervous going in after reading the reviews, but wanted to share that my experience was overall positive. Dr. Hansen was respectful and kind during my evaluation. Communication might be tricky for some, but she was professional and helped me get clarity - she listened attentively and made me feel seen. Just wanted to add a different perspective here.
