I would not waste my money or time having a $450 appointment over the phone with this doctor. I paid a fortune for help as my husband has been ill for over 20 years. All we got was 2 pieces of paper n 2 forms for tests n so I went for a 2nd opinion with Dr Tolleson. He was a breath of fresh air.

Dr Alavi is a very personable neurosurgeon who greeted me warmly and quickly put me at my ease. I appreciated his gentle sense of humour. He provided clarity and detail in his explanations which were accompanied by perusal of the relevant MRI's and scans. Dr Alavi adopted a conservative, cautious approach to the issue which also gave confidence. I would feel very confident that I was in good hands if I had to have a surgical procedure under Dr Ali Alavi.
