I scheduled an appointment to have a mouth guard made. I was told Dr Rakos would examine my mouth and determine if I needed a hard or soft guard. When I arrived, Rakos didn’t bother to come into the exam room, even when I asked the dental assistant how does he even know which one I need if he’s not even going to examine me. We proceeded with a soft guard mold. When I inquired if they would be billing my insurance I was told my insurance probably wouldn’t cover it but not to worry as Rakos only charges $100.
