Updated review as of 9/29/25: I originally gave 5 stars and was a loyal patient who even referred others. Unfortunately, after today, I won’t be returning. My appointment was scheduled for 4:45 PM. I drove from Alpharetta to Buford, used my Peach Pass (costing $20), and sat in traffic due to a car accident only to be told I couldn’t be seen because I walked in at 4:48 PM. This was my first visit with my primary care doctor, Vy Tran Plata, MD, MS, AAHIVS, and I am so impressed with her outstanding patient care. While I’ve received excellent medical care for many years from this clinic, the recent addition of patient coordinators has significantly improved the quality of the service. Rosie is my coordinator and I contact her often to solve the communication problems sometimes involved in getting things accomplished. Getting prescriptions re-ordered on a timely and accurate basis is a prime example of this. I simply email Rosie about an issue and she takes care of it. I wish they would’ve had somebody like her here for a long time.
I am so disappointed. Without any notice Buford family practice changed to excelsior healthcare. Now after seeing a new doctor for 4 months, who said he’s the one in charge, I found out that he’s no longer with the practice. This location needs to be closed permanently. They are playing with lives. I have been a patient since 2006 but no longer will after today!
very unprofessional practice, very lazy and neglect and unknowledgeable health practitioners, they do not care about patient well being I strongly do not recommend that practice the management mindset is somewhere else rather than managing professionally that practice
