I had an endoscopy, colonoscopy & rubber band ligation done by Dr Kurian and staff..They took good care of me. This was a recommendation by my general physican after my annual physical and nothing else. Dr Kurian insisted the procedure it be coded as "not preventative" for insurance purposes. I conceded that some part of the procedure like the rubber band ligation can be viewed as such but definitely not the colonoscopy. As a consequence I had 2 shell out $2000 out of pocket.. I have been treated at the Fern Hill office for West Chester GI twice. I have been impressed with the standard of care and efficient office operations on both occasions. The most recent visit, I was in the care of Dr. Kuryan, Nurse Jaime, Nikki, Angel, Kim and the reception staff. Everyone made sure that I was fully aware of the conduct of the procedure and made sure that there was no possibility of administrative errors that could detract from my treatment. Excellent Service - Dr. Kuryan is highly recommended for Gastrointestinal issues.
Everything was done according to COVID -19 requirements (as far as I could tell). Everyone was professional, helpful and caring AND I was able to speak to Dr. Kuryan twice, once before the procedure and after. This is so important to patients -- that they have opportunities to speak to their doctor regarding questions that arise before and after a procedure.
