One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a doctor. He told me that I had a mental illness because I didn't agree with a hematologist that he sent me to that I was causing my own iron deficiency anemia by eating ice. You can not cause iron deficiency by eating ice. Craving ice is a sign of iron deficiency. I think that this doctor is sick. It's been a few years now and I tell each new doctor that I see this story and they all can't believe that an actual doctor said this and that another actual doctor agreed.
Dr Garrido goes above and beyond for his patients. He is easily reachable and shows quite care and concern. He is thorough and has a great sense of humor that helps when you are not feeling your best. He has been proactive in testing and referring me to the appropriate physicians to find further results and diagnosis. He is one of the best around.
Dr.Garrido is the best doctor i had .He is always there for me and not talking around the bush.
Dr Garrido takes great care of his patients listening to their concerns and provides the best treatment without prescribing unnecessary medications
Dr. Garrido is the best geriatrician in the Southern Illinois area, he says it like it is, he does not prescribe medications of abuse ( narcotics, benzodiazepines, adderall, etc) unless you need it and following current guidelines hence the haters posting untruthful comments because they didn’t get the medications they wanted. Me mindful who the feedback come from
This Dr. diagnosed me with a stroke even after the neurologist told him it was MS. I agree with the other review that he does act like a toddler when he can't get his way. He is very insensitive.
Dr. Garrido acts like a toddler when he doesn't get his way. If you disagree with him or dare to question him, instead of addressing your concerns or spending the time to explain his methods, he lashes out & is verbally abusive. He is negligent in the care of his patients and treats them them like they are idiots. This is dangerous because a lot of his patients are older and are easily cowed & coerced. I recommend if you have an elderly parent under his care to never leave them alone with him.
I sat in a room for an hour to be talked to at typed at like a number. Can't reschedule. Not a doctor.
He was absolutely horrible. Sat in the waiting room for over 2 hours past my appointment, and, when I was finally called in, I sat in the the office for even another hour on top of that. During my appointment, he treated me as if I were stupid. Didn't listen to the pressing issue that I made the appointment for and also prescribed me the wrong medication. Even tried to convince me of a useless surgery after a CAT scan came back normal. After 4 months, I'm still sick with no diagnoses.
Dr. Alex Garrido MD has a 3.3 star rating with 16 reviews.
