Fellows ( mostly not from the US ) are horrible. If you want to be a guinea pig for the ongoing ancient failed experiment in testing l-dopa for PK, go here. I second Rosemary’s experience below on the clinical trial my Dad was invited to be a part of. It was another failed experiment that my Dad hasn’t heard any feedback from in several years. At visits, Dr. Espay was very kind and appeared compassionate. He spent a considerable amount of time educating both my husband and I about Parkinson's disease. But when my husband was in the hospital and having difficulty being cared for appropriately, Dr. Espay never reached out to us despite being at University Hospital and texting him. When my husband died, he did not seem to notice. No follow up. No continuity of care. My husband was in Dr. Espay's research study which we were so excited to be part of.
