One of the best there is. I've had so many retina issues over the years that I owe it to him. He's aggressive and at the same time very prudent. A no nonsense kind of surgeon.
I lost 40% of my vision in my left eye.. he was very informative explaining what could be done to fix my issue long term and short term fixes we chose long term and after 8 months of treatment I was back to perfect vision.. I highly recommend seeing him.. My experience with Dr. Alurkar was outstanding. Feb. 2020 I had an eye injury causing complete blindness in my right eye. Dr. Alurkar performed emergency surgery for a retinal detachment with a macula-off. 6 months post-surgery my sight is gradually improving in time. Surgically, my retina repair is perfect and with a contac lens my vision will be much better. I am very grateful for Dr. Alurkar’s skill, care, and concern for his patients.
