I called the office and waited for 17 mins before someone answered the phone. My mom was scheduled to see Dr. Bakhshi for a follow up. I provided her insurance over the phone beforehand, and they updated it in their system. My mom is currently in nursing home and was transported to the office for the appointment. She was sent home unseen because she did not present the hard copies of her insurance cards!!!! A very good doctor. Very concerned about how his patient feels.
I have no idea who is running this office, but the front desk is horrible. You call in and get no information from the automated system about the office hours or lunch time. Then you have some entitled person yelling at you that its their lunch time, DONT ANSWER THE PHONE IF ITS LUNCH TIME GENIUS. As much as Dr. Bakshi is admired by the medical community, the lack of respect for clients from the front office staff are ruining his reputation. What happened to customer service? Dr. Bakhshi failed to diagnose me with a serious medical condition while I was under his care. However, he WAS able to suggest that it was all in my head (during my FIRST visit!), and subsequently told me to "just stop" burping, a symptom of the condition, as well as a big fat clue as to what might be wrong with me. His solution was to keep prescribing stronger and stronger drugs, all of which were guesswork, and not appropriate to my health situation. Dr. Bakshi missed my colon cancer in 2 subsequent colonoscopies (one year apart) that was 1.6 inches big. Had I not had a colonoscopy by chance in Italy, I would again fight colon cancer like 12 years ago. The cancer was removed successfully 3 weeks ago. Beware that Dr. Bakshi doesn’t seem to know his profession very well. Avoid him, especially if you have a history of colon cancer. Go to a real gastroenterologist!
