I have been going to Tamara for about 3 years. I have never had a doctor that listened to my concerns. So many things I had going on with me that I had absolutely no clue about until I started going to Tamara. If anyone has any updates on where she is now practicing please share!

I’m extremely disappointed with Dr. Ramstad & his staff at Chesapeake Regional Primary Care. My father was hospitalized twice in June 2024. Prior to being discharged, the hospital scheduled his follow-up appointment with his PCP, Dr. Ramstad. At the follow-up appointment, Dr. Ramstad prescribed a wheelchair. After 4 months of following up & even getting a Humana Case Manager involved, we were informed in Oct. 2024 that Dr. Ramstad was unwilling to provide the necessary documentation requested by the insurance company to ... read more
My husband Brian brian and I just want to say THANK YOU so much to Nichole Rice PA . My husband had a AVM that ruptured in June 2024 and Nichole and Dr Baker and their team worked on my husband for over 8 hours that night .Dr baker an Nichole made sure to keep me informed while all of this was going on. I delivered my first baby in September 2023 here. I had a very slow labor, staying in the hospital for 5 nights. That gave me at least 10 different shifts of nurses, each being amazing. I stayed in three different rooms, intake, labor & delivery, and mother and baby. My baby had to go to the nursery as well. Every staff member I interacted with was so helpful and kind. Went here 3 weeks ago with terrible pain in the lower right side of my stomach. When going into the ER, there was 1 person in the waiting room. Then was immediately taken for vitals and registration. I waited in the waiting room for about an hour and a half before a doctor came out to me and started evaluating me and asking questions. Exceptional knowledge. Wonderful personal contact. Great follow-up.
Beware of using this family practice for routine physicals. All lab work is processed by Chesapeake General Hospital who will only bill as outpatient and out right refuses to resubmit the insurance claim using the preventive code which means the claim will NOT BE COVERED. Currituck Internal Medicine & Family Practice will not help correct this billing issue and will just pass you over to the office manager voicemail. Definitely find a more reliable family practice who actually cares about their patient.
Doctor Ziglar was amazing, PA Allison Williams is shockingly terrible. She doesn’t seem to care, won’t follow up and wont listen to questions or concerns. She makes arbitrary decisions and tried to change one of my medications for no apparent reason to one that I had been on before and did not work. Why would you even bother trying to change my medication if the one I am currently on is working?! She is a physicians assistant that should absolutely be avoided.
