Very good doctor, very accommodating to his elderly patients. However… If you are getting blood work, where the results need to be sent to another doctor or a specialist, call the lab a few days after the results are in and remind them to send the results to whatever doctor or specialist outside of the Avalon clinic there is. Then call your outside doctor and confirm that they arrived, and then call back to the Avalon clinic and confirm that they were sent. The staff and Dr. Izbell are nice, but he doesn't respect your time. They will schedule 4 patients for the exact same time slot, (i saw this on a pc that was left open), so you show up 10 minutes early for your 8am appointment and Izbell casually strolls into your room at around 9:15... In what industry is it acceptable to show up over an hour late to your appointments? We have lives/jobs too!! Unprofessional to say the least.. Dr. Isbell and his staff have been phenomenal in taking care of my elderly parents as well as myself. There is usually a wait as there is at all dr offices, but you can count on getting the same time and care. He is kind, patient, thorough in finding answers to our health issues.
