Dr Evan’s was the on call doctor when I was admitted to A&E for post surgery complications from a recent full hysterectomy. My regular doctor was not on that long weekend. When she came to my room to discuss my results etc, I feel like I was medically gaslit. Eg- had sweats & shakes at home before coming into ED- she said maybe it was your air con at home as your temp since being in hospital isn’t high. Dr Evans is a genius! Whilst I was very scared about getting a hysterectomy at 44 years of age, Dr Evans has an outstanding bedside manner, she is extremely knowledgeable and she made me feel safe. I had a 530g tumour on my uterus and Dr Evans removed the uterus and cervix (leaving the ovaries to keep menopause at bay) through laparoscopic surgery...how the heck did she do that?
