She did not listen to me when I said there was a problem with the localization for the tumor (when it's the most common reason for failure of this surgery) and now I have to have multiple additional surgeries to both remove any of the tumor, and then to fix me. She then blamed her staff for not telling her about my concerns (I told her multiple times and she told me there was no problem). She didn't remove anything except healthy flesh. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in late June 2025. I had no idea what to do as I had never been through this before. A friend referred me to Dr. Beard and I am beyond thankful. Dr. Beard explained everything to me and my husband so that we can understand it, which we really appreciated. She has a wonderful bedside manner which is extremely important to me. One of the finest physicians I have ever encountered! I felt like I was talking to a compassionate friend, rather than a cold, aloof doctor. She answered all my questions before I asked them, and then patiently asked if I had more. My care during surgery and follow-up has been more of the same. I can't imagine going to anyone else for my breast cancer surgery and care. 💖
