I paid over $5,000 for orthodontic treatment and was informed I had a permanent retainer, with no disclosure that removal would be required or incur additional costs. I have since been advised by my dentist that the retainer is not intended to be permanent, yet your office is now seeking $500 for its removal. Charging for removal under these circumstances is misleading and unreasonable.
I’d give less of a rating if I could. The doctor took my money only because I wanted braces got them and for what when he knew I needed my wisdom teeth out first. Instead he made it my choice to not get them taken out making the dental work pointless in the end. Other people I know had gotten their wisdom teeth removed then proceeded to get treatment braces as they should. He knew everything I was going through so he just took my money and ran with it.
