I will say I thought at first I liked Dr.Porter. until I started to realize that he is obviously doing all this to make money off helpless people and mostly elderly. I was diagnosed with glaucoma and cataracts by him. I kept going doing all the tests. Doing everything for my eyes. Pressure in my eyes wouldn't come down. He also stated I had optic nerve damage. Then he starts telling me I NEED to have surgery. Okay. But he wont do it thru insurance. You have to pay alot of money in cash for it. Okay. Thats odd. Then I go agai... read more
The are no core principles and no ethical foundation at this practice. The patients’ best interest is not considered. Appointments are grossly over-scheduled with some giving up and walking out. It is a straight-up SURGERY MILL with patients being herded through like cattle. Eye drops are given in the lobby and hallways. A nurse or tech attempted to give mine again before I told her I already had them. Dr. Porter seemed to be in a rush. I can’t decide if it’s Dr. Porter or his staff that is worse. Over a span of a couple of years, he has not kept many appointments and his staff never calls to let me know unless I am on my way there. At least one time I was already there and found out he wasn’t in the office. I’m not a real happy camper.
These people are liars! Avoid at all costs. They lied about the cost of a glaucoma exam. Charged me double what they said. The exam was a joke. They did less than my optometrist does! All they did was take a picture of my eyes, check my pressure, and Dr. Porter looked in my eyes with a light. That's it! And then charged me a cash price of $400!Then said they wanted another appointment for a visual field test and another appointment for a pressure test.
