The Dr. crams as many Telehealth appointments a day as he possibly can. This could be a him-issue & fine for some patients who don't have too serious of a health concerns or someone like me who liked NYU Langone, but didn't live closeby, however, this is only the case *IF* he reads the medical notes + health history prior* to the appointments... like Doctors always do. He is highly knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to connect with his patients on a personal level. Dr. Chikadel listens carefully, addresses all concerns, and explains treatment options clearly. His compassionate and friendly approach makes every visit a positive experience. I highly recommend Dr. Chikadel to anyone seeking excellent endocrinological care.
This was my best doctor for years-- until he made it clear he doesn't like working with trans people. I wasn't seeking gender affirming care when I approached him about an issue, but he mistook it as such and made clear that he doesn't accept working with trans people such as myself.
