Uneducated or wildly misled in the realm of neural divergence. He repeated talking points of diet affecting my kid(s) autism and possible ADHD for one, and other points I've heard from their grandmother, who is an antivaxxer. As a neural divergent myself I felt somewhat insulted by his lack of understanding. To be clear he was NOT an antivaxxer, just repeated some of their bad advice talking points for treatment. If however your issue is purely physical i.e. fever, constipation he seemed fine. But if neural divergence is in n... read more

Didn't do the most basic of exams, like listen to my heart mush less bother with an EKG. Spent less than 5 minutes in the room and got mad when he had to stay to answer a question about medication.

I accompanied my husband to several appointments at Dr Schwender’s Hopkinsville clinic and each time it was a bad experience. The staff has clearly not been trained in bedside manner. The clinic is unorganized and dirty. The Dr stepped into the room for maybe 5 minutes and only looked at my husband’s chart and didn’t do any sort of exam. While waiting for a stress test 2 staff members came into the room to “clean” some holter monitors and completely ignored the fact that there was a patient in the room and proceeded to have ... read more

Seriously the worst doctor I've ever seen. He offers basically no care and I've had more thorough tele-med visits than his in office appointments. I first visited him in 2021 and gave him the benefit of the doubt about his lack of exam (didn't even listen to my heart) & his pushy behavior about getting a COVID vax as related to the ongoing situation. This year he again didn't physically examine me in any way and the only stats recorded were by assistants for my weight, pulse, heart rate and medication changes. No listening t... read more

He is one of the best doctors I’ve seen, my first 2 surgeries ever and he was very thorough. Very kind to me and knew exactly what his game plan was as we went.

Went into the ER with abdominal pain and a previous CT that showed appendicitis (I left the ER the first time because of patient care), but this time even though the wait was sort of long all providers and nurses were very informative and did their checks like they were supposed to. I was introduced to Dr Kabithe shortly before they moved me to a private room. He was kind and gentle, actually listened when I spoke - just talked to me like he would a friend and I really appreciate that. Many doctors I’ve been to are so cold a... read more

My mom went to Dr. Schwender, at first she thought he was great. Then she had to go in for a 6 month follow up, and all he did was listen to her lungs ( This from a Cardiologist) and she was getting ready to ask some questions, and he said see you in 6 months and left the room. Her PCP wanted her to ask about issues she was having, and she had questions about some other things and he cut her off without giving her the chance to talk. I, ( her daughter) called the office manager to explain what happened, and the lady was rude... read more

Terrible! Been waiting over 6 weeks for shot records to be faxed to the new pediatrician. Worst office ever!

My husband had just spent 9 months in the hospital from a systemic MRSA infection. He showed signs of a-fib in the hospital so our family dr. referred us to Dr Schwender for follow up. He implanted a loop monitor into my husband's chest. We went every week for follow up visits. The wound was obviously becoming infected. Dr Schwender would not listen when we told him my husband was being followed by an infectious disease doctor, and he called in an antibiotic for "the redness". Our pharmacist refused to fill the Rx because it... read more
