History Established in 1987. D.P. Dough, the original calzone company, was established in 1987 in Amherst, Massachusetts. Throughout the 1990s, D.P. Dough opened restaurants in college towns throughout the East Coast and Midwest, delivering hot, fresh-baked calzones at crazy late hours. In 2009, D.P. Dough opened in Columbus. The Columbus D.P. This place , I drove like 20 min got there @ 3:53 am TODAY . I do understand that it was closing @ 4am I came in seen a short caucasian man at the corner I wanted to place the order. He told me one minute let me see if they’re still taking orders. I said OK. He went back there and he said that they’re not taking orders. I said why he said because they’re about to close I said, can you speak to a manager or someone in charge? I love this place. The fact that it is open to 4am makes me fall deeper in love with it. The food is always on point. I wish I lived closer to the place. At the same time im glad I dont. I would be getting it to much. When I discovered this place it was like the night sky opened and the moon put a spot light directly on it. The food is so flipping good. I cant stress this enough.
So good! All the calzones I've tried had a lil crunch to em but still super soft, the filling is always hot (even after driving 15 mins to get home) & flavorful, and their sauces are good as well. It's worth giving them a try if you're on the fence.
Super staff! Very nice and helpful. I put in a late night order and made a mistake. I called to correct it and they did it with no problem or attitude. Really really nice. The food was fantastic
