RecommendedI got to drop by Downtown Yarns the other week, and picked up a really lovely ball of yarn. (Plymouth Yarn baby alpaca grande). It was great to work with, and so soft. They had just what I wanted, were knowledgeable about my options and questions, and very thoughtful about all health precautions. My kind of store! Began with a warm welcome from the Shop Dog and Employees. Very nice selection of yarn and beautiful samples of projects. I visited another yarn store just minutes earlier where I could not even get the attention of the two women chatting behind the counter. So glad I left and discovered the very charming Downtown Yarns!
A truly great place to visit
Downtown Yarns is a warm haven where I can find New York State yarns, makers and sellers. Wooly sheep and their shepherds are green stewards of a Green New York.
I'm obsessed with this store. Love the yarn (real 100% wool!) and the nice, helpful people there.
