Until Mrs. Judy and Mr. Brown became the new owners of Eastside Lofts, I lived with unrepaired bathroom doors for 3 years. I haven't met Mr. Brown but Mrs. Judy is really kind and very compassionate. About a month ago Downtown Dwellings bought out the apartment complex at Gracie Mansion and it’s been a total nightmare. They closed the office. The mailroom/gym has no heat or air turned on so it’s not usable. They discontinued grounds keeping. They switched trash services to once a week and the dumpsters now are overflowing. Despite being gated, homeless people are coming in because they fired the courtesy officer so there’s no one to watch over the place. The mailroom door is always open so people can steal packages. If I could give Downtown Dwellings 10 stars I would! I lived at two different properties of DD the past 5 ish years, both wonderful experiences for both! Kramer school for a while and Willow Court for about 3 years. I would recommend renting from them for so many reasons! The owner/ staff are so sweet, if anything needs fixing, they are fast with repairs and anything you need. The properties are so well taken care of, as well as very safe and well lit parking areas!
