I see some negativity, but don't let a few bad reviews skew your judgment of the organization. I love downtown, cool stuff has been moving in the last few years, along with great new initiatives like Shreveport Common not to mention the great work that has been done to preserve Historic buildings. Also I enjoy reading the articles on the Downtown Development Authority's website.

Parking meters and app are awful. If you want people to go downtown make it parking friendly. Get rid of meter and app and offer free lots. At least try it before you say it won’t work. You might be surprised a learn something. Ever time I’m downtown I see the parking meter/app patrol drive around downtown to jump out and right tickets. Kind of negates all the work to encourage people to go downtown. If I didn’t have a couple of meetings each month I would never go downtown. Nothing of interest for me and I do t feel safe.
