Terrible Customer Service I was in severe, obvious pain when I entered the ER. After having to press the doorbell several times, a woman named ZOEY finally answered. She took far too long to register me, a patient who has been there many times before. But what truly bothered me was her COMPLETE LACK of empathy or compassion for the visible hurt I was experiencing. Got to the ER at 130pm after crushing my hand in a pallet Jack, it is now 603pm got vitals taken and X-rays done around 2pm. Have yet to see a doctor about the results, front desk brushes you off if you ask about anything. Asked for some type of pain reliever when they took my vitals and have yet to get any. It’s been 5 hours of nothing but pain and anger. Dont recommend unless you are dying and if you are I’d still take your chances at another hospital.
I have nothing but praise for the medical care received at this lovely small regional hospital. My Father and I were vactioning in Lubec when he suddenly exhibited stroke-like symptoms. He was taken by Downeast ambulence to DECH. Dr Howard, the ER Doc and staff were professional and so very kind, polite and respectful. My Father was admitted to comfort care.
