Everyone was professional and kind during prepping for my husbands procedure and recovery. Dr Ahmad and his team were the best. Don’t remember the nurses names but want to express how grateful I am for their dedication to patients. John’s knee has healed with hardly any scare and works great. He is back to doing all his outdoor activities.
The nurses in the OR were fabulous. Dr. Ahmad was very thourough and patient providing information about my procedure and recovery. I would highly recommend recieving care from this team.
I had a Hip replacement in October of 2025. After waiting for almost a year at another facility, Dr. Ahmad Zafar was able to schedule a consult and get my surgery done in the span of a little more than 2 months. The staffing from the front desk and admin to the nurses, and Dr. Zafar were outstanding. Every aspect of my care was 1st rate. I’m usually impressed with the care we receive here. But my husband sat in the waiting room for 3+ hours in great pain today, totally miserable & literally turning colors. He has severely uncontrolled blood pressure & other chronic conditions that exacerbated his pain (& vice versa). We didn’t get past triage & he was so uncomfortable by hour 3 he’d had enough. Dr. Ahmad is one of the best orthopedics in this area. A long time waiting for Machias. Wonderful staff and best doctor.
