Service has gotten a whole lot worse after McDougall bought it. Apparently it takes over 2 weeks to get a propane delivery now so plan accordingly. Don't order at 25% as you are supposed to as you will run out before you receive it. Have to start ordering at 50% so I still have some propane by the time I receive it. Only problem with that is, if they do come within a normal timeframe, you get dinged with a low volume fee. Guess there is no winning with McDougall, time for a change to a different company.
Called last week for fuel oil told them its less them 1/4 they said it will be delivered the next day that was Thursday Friday and now Monday no fuel now running on fumes I called Thursday someone will call me back nothing I called Friday someone will call you right back nothing I call Monday and asked if there was a problem and again someone will call you back and no surprise nothing in 17 years never had a problem till now
Service cal was due on the 21st of January. They did not come. On the 28th it ran out and we had no heat. Called company. Was left till the next day at 530pm without oil. Never once in 12 years with Dowler Karn have I run out of oil. Using my oven and electric fire place for heat in a large Victorian farm house. It was 39 degrees when they finally came and then I had to call another company to come actually get it to start the next day. So three days no heat.. to say unimpressed would be an understatement.
Delivery refusal with no outstanding balance in the middle of the winters coldest week. This company has no morals
You should be ashamed of yourselves. My son in law paid extra to have the transmitter to ensure that their propane is filled and they have now been without propane since Dec 23rd . They call and you laugh. They have a 8 month old baby along with 4 other children. This is criminal. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Family run business my ars. Money grab and a rip off of what you are . If anything happens to my family I will wander that the entire community knows what a low life establishment you are
