Amazing food and cool vibes, but the service at the start was frustrating. They seated us at a table so tight we couldn't even fit. After asking to move, we had to wait a long time standing up because the waitress chose to take other orders instead of prioritizing us. The food was great once we sat down, but the hosting/waiting process needs better organization

Came here in a Saturday around 11am. About a 30min wait but great waitlist system that allowed us to stroll to the book store down the street while we waited. We sat inside and it was barstool seating, we had a corner spot and it was comfortable. We got the tacos with mushrooms and the hash with the brisket. Both were delicious but the taco with the homemade flour tortilla and mushrooms was next level. I would get it over and over. Server & hosts were super friendly & helpful. Dove's Luncheonette was a bit of a letdown. I ordered the brisket hash and found it to be rather bland. There was no smokiness, tanginess, or any other flavor profile I'd associate with BBQ. There wasn't much beyond salt. The interior was really cool, with a classic diner feel, and the server was friendly, but I wouldn't go back. There seem to be plenty of other dining options in the neighborhood.
