I had a leak in the bathroom tub for months. I was not sure how to remove the valve. Home Depot was not able to tell me how to remove the valve. With the help of the Internet I removed the entire valve. I took the part to Dover to purchase a new unit. The tech person looked at it recommended that I replace the two springs and rubber washers as oppose to purchasing a new valve that would have cost $40-60. This stop the leak and it cost me $4.92.
