Under renovation. Overall a 4+ review. Pros: Awesome views. Rooms are dated but clean. Staff very helpful and responsive. Small breakfast offering but included great fresh fruit and the usual waffle maker. Snappers restaurant next door. Jet Ski rental on site. Discounted rates fair and will likely be much higher once renovations are complete. Cons: No beach. Shore with a lot of unsightly garbage. Hammocks torn and unusable. This was a great place to stay and the WiFi worked really well for our extended stay. The place is clean and the staff is very friendly. The only bad thing to say is the bay can be on the smelly Side if you are not used to it but clears up as the tide rolls in. They are working on updating the facilities.
Dove Creek Lodge feels like a UFO, something out of place, just waiting for the right person to bring it back down to Earth. It has everything it needs to be a great destination, yet nothing really works as it should. Let’s start with the positives. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and offer fairly nice views. Very clean friendly staff right next to Snappers restaurant. We had a great time
This was a wonderful hotel. Could see they were working on updating it, and what was done was nice. ( They should definitely get rid of the carpet) They were working on the roof but the manager was very apologetic, and did offer us something in exchange for dealing with the noise. The breakfast was not all that, wish they offered more egg options or protein options in general. There was a restaurant next door, and you could rent wave runners which was fun.
