Our experiences with Doulas of Bellingham were both wonderful! After receiving such incredible support during a long and challenging labor with our first child, we knew that we wanted to work with them for the birth of our second baby. The prenatal meetings allowed us to get to know our friendly support team well and helped calm many of our anxieties, especially surrounding the shifting situations and protocols due to Covid-19. My husband and I just had a custom private course with Veronica and it was exactly what I hoped it would be! Veronica was very knowledgeable and made us both feel comfortable! She made the course fun, easy to understand and we felt like we had an expert at our disposal. I also really appreciate the informational folder we got to take home with everything we had covered and the goodie bag! Molly was great!! She comforted me and reminded me of my birth plan when needed. She also took photos and videos for me! It’s awesome to be able to show family members photos of the birth because they couldn’t be there.(covid sucks) It was really nice to have someone else there to support me during birth. Men don’t always know how to comfort you during birth and she helped guide him. I also got my placenta encapsulated. I think it’s helped regulate my hormones because I’ve been pretty mellow. My husband and I had a great experience with the Doulas of Bellingham. We hired Molly and Amber to be our doula team and they provided exactly the support I needed after having been through a past traumatic experience. With the pandemic and the unexpected need for a C-section, nothing went the way I had planned, but the doulas were flexible and provided great virtual support and very careful in-person postpartum support.
