Doug and Fran Lappe are THE most honest and accomodative vehicle repair svc i have ever found in my 40 yrs of of driving. NEVER TRIES to upsell products or services....always will tell u when future stuff MAY be needed...very clean shop and employees are top-notch...you WILL NOT find a more honest and educated shop in Arvada.

We moved back to Colorado in 2010, having lived in MT for eight years. We found Doug's Automotive as he advertised through an Arvada magazine and was rated high with BBB. You won't find a more competent, honest, reliable, fair-priced and high quality mechanic for your vehicle. He and his wife are fair, fast and friendly. When we're not in MT, we go to Doug's Automotive for our Highlander....the BEST in the WEST :-). Nancy & Tom Willingham

finally found a trust worthy mechanic shop at dougs automotive. brought my car from another shop after I was told my a/c evaporator was leaking and it would cost over $600 to replace. I needed my a/c so a friend recommended dougs and said they have been there over 25years so I told them to replace my evaporator and instead of just doing that they checked the car over and found that it was actually just a hose and O-rings, saved me hundreds.

DISHONEST!!! I went to this shop for a check engine light and to have my vehicle checked. I was told that they did a system check and smoke test, but could not find anything, would need to keep vehicle to research where the problem is. I was also told that several codes showed up on system check, that there were problems with the drive train, transfer case, rear differential and that the rear axles had too much movement. These guys sorted out a problem that I had thought I had solved at a previous shop. I was recommended by my grandparents, and they were everything my G'parents said.. Thanks to Doug and his staff.. I will now lsten when gramma says what to do and where to go.. Thank you..
