I drove from Sarnia to Ottawa on July 6th to attend my Son’s marriage the next day. 1 1/2 hrs from Ottawa on Hwy 7, the “Service Engine” light came on in my 2016 F150 and I lost acceleration. Of course it had to be just before 5pm so by the time I made it anywhere with a service bay, they were closed! Started going there over a year ago, I had a manifold exhaust noise that I though was the manifold. End up it was just a broken clamp. They will advise you of upcoming issues. Like my exhaust was going to be needing replaced soon. When I brought it in for this repair they check other things once my truck was on the lift. Called and told me that I would need ball joints, Were they honest about this? Ball joints makes a noise when you hit a bump so you would know. For safety reasons I said yes. I’ll easily come back to Doug’s. I spoke to Jamie at the front desk he was patient but direct and then Tom who’s the owner. I had a pre-purchase inspection. Thank god I did that because I dodged a bullet with a used car I wanted to buy. Tom stuck around after and was not only super thoughtful, kind but helpful and informative for what I should do moving forward. I think I’ve found my new garage thanks guys!
