I had braces with Dr Doug and so did my son. Great service--great people. As far as insurance, honey--you need to check yourself. This is NOT the DR's fault . Personal accountability. To give him one star is unfair because of something you failed to do.
Such a shame because The doctor himself is super sweet , polite and has great bed side care. His receptionist (Paula) however could use some training on customer service !! I’m a nurse and I put my patients first even before myself so if I’m running late for a 7:30 appointment bc my patient at the hospital had an emergency this morning, no I’m not going to abandon my patient and run to an orthodontist appointment that’s not even an emergency. Make sure you ask if they take your insurance before they do anything. They didn’t tell us until after they did my sons diagnostics that our insurance was out of network. It was a $500 difference out of our pocket. We were told “it’s only $500 and we have a payment plan”. We decided not to use them because they didn’t check insurance. To walk away we had to pay almost $400 for diagnostics, which are unusable anywhere else.
My boys are currently seeing Dr. Doug for treatment on their teeth and I'm very happy with the experience that they have currently had with them. From walking in, and seeing the smile on the lady who is at the front desk, it is always a warm welcome; to the games and other entertainment for the other boy while one is been seen they're always eager to go there. I feel like family when I go there and my kids get treated with such respect. I would recommend this place to all my friends who are in search of someone for their ort... read more
