Excellent psychiatrist - smart, caring, and knowledgeable.
Great psychiatrist. Listens very well and actually cares about you. Implements other techniques when needed. Very honest but in a compassionate and friendly way. Extremely fast response to call or emails. I highly recommend him.
He misdiagnosed my son years ago and was very arrogant. My son continued to suffer with the useless Dr. Sears, so I took him to the Head of Adolescent Psychiatry at UCLA - who said Dr. Sears not only gave my son the wrong medication, but even if it was a good choice, the dose was too low. His medication was changed and my son flourished! Thank God we left Dr. Sears. Stay away from Dr. Sears if you have a child - he is an incompetent psychiatrist.
Dr Sears saved my life. I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder when I was 15 years old. I was with Kaiser psychiatric department first, they were beyond awful. I started seeing Dr Sears when I was 18. He turned my life around. He got me on the right medications. Twenty years later he is still there for me when I need him. Fantastic doctor.
Does not spend time hearing willfully clients issues and concerns. Quick to get off the phone and just disperses medication without really understanding clients issues and needs. I have him a few chances and now that I am in great care of a psychiatrist I realize how terrible Dr Sears was towards me. Buyer beware…
