I was a patient of this Physician Assistant ( Larry Lux) for over 20 years and everything was fine as a young healthy man. I first began seeing a doctor a real MD not just a PA when I first attended the clinic and that MD left this establishment (clinic) and I got PA Larry Lux somehow. WORST OF THE WORST, NO CARE ABOUT PATIENTS AT ALL. STAFF AWFUL, UNCARING AND NASTY ! MISSED 3 APPOINTMENTS, ONE i MISSED, TWO OTHERS WERE RESULT OF A FLAT TIRE AND THE OTHER AN ACCIDENT WHERE i WAS RUN INTO. CALLED TO OFFICE BOTH TIMES TO REPORT I WOULD BE LATE, THEY SAID, OKAY. THEN I NEEDED INSULIN AND WAS TOLD THEY HAD KICKED ME OUT OF THE PRACTICE. NO CARE ABOUT MY OTHER CONDITIONS, JUST "YOU MISSED THREE APPOINTMENTS" SO WE WILL NEVER SEE YOU AGAIN ! I went in on Monday and they misdiagnosed me as having chiggers bites. When the rash started spreading I went back on Wednesday (same week) and was told that I have shingles! I think that since returning in Wednesday was their fault they should have at least been more respectful of My time. But as always they bring you to a little room and leave you there alone for an hour, at least.. that part sucks. I was scheduled for a MRI with contrast dye on March 24th. Although I had in my possession the insurance approval, I had a very unfortunate experience with Centerpoint Hospital Admission and declined the procedure. I was treated rudely and abruptly. I have been a patient of College Park Family Care at the 112th Street location in OPKS. Dr. David Dobratz has been my doctor to close to 27 yrs. On March 31, 2015, I ended a 3 month violent migraine w/double to triple vision, burning in my head & Dr. Dobratz's & his nurse after receiving messages from me about my scary effects from what I thought was a migraine ended up with me going to the ER 3 times in 1-day. It has taken me a year to get into the metabolic program with Dr. Freilich. Andrea RN spent a long year working through the process of getting approval from Medicare for coverage. The coordinator, dietician, and physical trainer as well as the office staff are very supportive through out the entire process. I find them available for question and support at any time. I have been a patient of Dr. Freilich since I was recommended by my Dr. in Dec. 2019. I was first seen by ANP Janay , listened to my story, gave me a complete exam, scheduled me for a bank of test, to include a couple of table meetings with Dr. Freilich. They gave me a diagnosis and treatment and I have been symptom free since. I have been working with Dr. Freilich and his staff as a client/patient with his metabolic program for almost a year. Dr. Freilich, his nurse assistant, the nutritionist and fitness specialist are INCREDIBLY supportive and encouraging. I have tried every program out there with no success but have lost 20+ lbs on this program and hope to lose more! This is a great team of professionals who truly care about their patients.
