Earl Douglas (grandpa) put in our oak wood plank floor in 1987. After 38 years, it still looked mostly great with some water damage in the kitchen. So we called Nathan (grandson) who assured us the floor could be brought back to its original splendor. My family has been working with Douglas Hardwood Floors for well over 50 years. Grandfather Earl, Sons Bruce & Mark and now grandson Nathan. Their work is EXCELLENT and very detailed. Beautiful white oak floors in our homes and recently a vinyl floor in the condo. Without hesitation, I give them my strongest recommendation.
We needed to refinish original wood floors in our 1920s craftsman. Nathan was great to work with— professional, on time, and quick to respond to any of our questions. He sent us photos and talked us through replacing some pest-damaged planks. Our refinished floors look amazing and we are so happy with the whole process. See photos for before and after! Douglas Floors is a 4-generation family business now owned and operated by Nathan Douglas. We had met with three other companies but couldn't find the right fit for our unique situation as our beautiful distressed walnut floors were worn and sun damaged and in need of care, but nobody said it could be done without bringing in a big sanding machine and losing all the character. I don’t leave a lot of reviews, but I am going out of my way to leave this review because Nathan and his crew bent over backwards to get my floor done before the christmas holiday last year. Thanks guys! I got a beautiful new floor at a fair price, the crew was professional and friendly, and it was a smooth process throughout.
