Received a referral and was contacted yesterday after 5 pm via text message. I found the tone and initial contact to be unprofessional and unsettling. I couldn’t quite place it, but something seemed off, so I came to read the reviews, and decided to decline the referral. I had neuropsych testing done by Dr. Ruben. While his office is a bit quirky and not what I expected, I found him to be very knowledgable, polite and welcoming. I was nervous about the testing but he made me feel comfortable and was great if I didn't understand something or needed clarification. The report I recieved was incredibly detailed and accurate, though not completely what I expected. I would absolutely go to him again. Worst appointment ever, complete waste of time and money! I have no clue what his evaluation is even stating, absolutely not a diagnosis from a professional!
Review from a friend. “Dr. Ruben seemed willing to help at the initial appointment. He wanted to schedule a neuropsychological evaluation, to evaluate for ADHD. After the appointment I received a text saying it would be $150 going through insurance or $1000 out of pocket. I called my insurance provider who said it would be a $20 copay. I texted Dr. Ruben back and let him know it should be a $20 copay through my insurance.
