We had a great time at Douglas Fir Mushing in Fairbanks! Matt and Mandy were super nice and helpful. My spouse lost her phone on the trail, but they helped us find it, which was really kind of them. The kennel tour was awesome! We got to meet a lot of the dogs, which was really cool. The dog sledding itself was amazing, with an incredible mountain view that made the experience even more breathtaking. Mandy took lots of photos of us. I highly recommend it.
Amanda and Matt were both amazing and gave such a great tour. This experience was a highlight of our trip. Not only was the dog sledding tour fantastic, but it was so great to see a slice of their life. I can't recommend this enough!
Mindy and Matt truly offered a fabulous experience which included quality time with the dogs. If you want to experience first hand how the dogs are raised and chosen for pulling a sled, Douglasfir mushing is absolutely my choice. We hope to go back again next year’
I rescheduled my flight in the hope of catching the northern lights, and I booked this trip for the extra day I stayed in Fairbanks. The experience far exceeded my expectations! As they said on their website, their business is their home. The moment I stepped into their home, I was greeted by the retirees—four adorable Alaskan Huskies!
