This company is poorly ran. Perhaps those that have never received power from other companies think Douglas Electric is great. Power goes out all of the time. They do nothing preventative to prevent power loss, but wait for it to go out to react. They have come on my property while I was at work and cut down a tree. I had no idea when I came home what happened or who did it. They did not ask me or inform me.
Absolutely miserable service. I bought a house and it hasn't even been 1 full buisness day side I bought the house and the electricity was shut off. I didn't even know who the electricity was ran through it took me a bit of calling.just to find out than after having to recall Douglas co-op 4 times to reach this "office" instead of overflow I was told because I have no evidence that I have utility credit I would have to pay $300 to have my power turned on that night. On oxygen, and these men and women are awesome! Just after 10 now but the electric power went out, so my daughter called and let ya know that I am on oxygen, and BAM BISCUITS! You were here in no time. 18 days without water or electricity this past Snow Storm from "!@#$%$#@!÷×+@&&.!!! Your a total 5 Stars in my book!
