Do not recommend relying on dcha, even if they place you in a home as they will kick you out for no reason. In the home less than a year and my “caseworker” Rachal Oliva let me know I had to move to a small apartment down the street because she “accidentally” placed me in a larger home. While that was already inconvenient, she stated the home was now being sold and I for sure had to leave. There are no words to say how thankful I am for the help and support I received from DCHA. My housing specialist, Andrew Bougger, exceeded standards I wasn’t aware I had. With the amount of people and workload I can only imagine the Housing Authority has. He always maintained prompt communication, answers, explanations, and the determination to help is so encouraging, especially when going through hard times.
