#catrina houghton took us off the list. I had to call to get back on it. I then was scheduled, with two other ppl, to come to their office and fill out the housing forms. She acted weird at tht time but I kept pressing. I them received a letter in the mail about how she 'misplaced' my income form. Do not recommend relying on dcha, even if they place you in a home as they will kick you out for no reason. In the home less than a year and my “caseworker” Rachal Oliva let me know I had to move to a small apartment down the street because she “accidentally” placed me in a larger home. While that was already inconvenient, she stated the home was now being sold and I for sure had to leave. She stated they would help with moving expenses and when asking her for the reimbursement she stated she couldn’t help with that. Not eve... read more
There are no words to say how thankful I am for the help and support I received from DCHA. My housing specialist, Andrew Bougger, exceeded standards I wasn’t aware I had. With the amount of people and workload I can only imagine the Housing Authority has. He always maintained prompt communication, answers, explanations, and the determination to help is so encouraging, especially when going through hard times.
