Dr. Doug Chonko saved my life, literally! I have never been treated so kindly, respectfully, carefully, and thoroughly. Dr. Doug Chonko and his team always made sure to keep me informed, aware, and in the loop with my care and my health. I have another day in this world because he decided to go to med school and become the amazing surgeon/specialist that he is! I was always uncomfortable when I had an appointment with him because he never made eye contact and every time he prescribe a medicine or make a referral it would never be done. He got really offended when I said I was going to seek a second opinion which is normal for a patient. The last straw was when I noticed that I had an appointment on the 5th of February of this year that I never scheduled and that I never attended but it showed that I was in attendance is very disturbing.
I was referred to him by another doctor and I can't say enough how uncaring he was. He told me that I have a little arthritis in my knee as he reviewed an x-ray. I have suffered with my knee now for over 1 full year since I saw him. I went to my primary care physician and he ordered me a an MRI that was completed last week. My results came back and to my amazement I have a breakdown of cartilage within the knee joint, I have a tear of the ACL, I have tears of both the medial and lateral meniscus & a small cartilage legion. Great team, I had a terrific recovery and surgical experience
I had a titanium knee surgery by a different surgeon and it was not good at all Dr chonko fixed that problem he was courteous his staff was wonderful and my knee has never felt better I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon to take care of my issue I would suggest him to anybody
