I've been to a few other dentist in town one that didn't have good beside manner. Another one that was just a cash grab and with the holidays it was hard finding somewhere that could see my son for his teeth. Luckily they were able to get us in next day and were fantastic. The assistant kept my kid calm and put his mind at ease when it came to looking at his teeth that were causing him discomfort. Emily was very gentle but thorough for my cleaning. Previous other women were amazing with my 3 yr old which meant a lot to me.
I dread going to the dentist. But today was wonderful. Friendly staff, peaceful environment, everything explained, and a knowledgeable dentist not trying to push you into more expensive alternatives. The last place I went to was all business and you were on a conveyor belt moving from one person to another and out the door. I do not dread seeing Dr. Wyckoff again. Give him a try. I think you'll like it too.
Just got my second round of fillings done with Wyckoffs office and I gotta say, they did a great job. My dentist anxiety is way better now (I still have a hard time laying and getting needles shoved in my gums but im not worried about it being really painful) they seemed to be very delicate in the shot process and I barely felt them. I think they did probably like 20 fillings in two sessions, where I was worried my only option would be to get most of my teeth pulled they managed to fix most of them up! I hate needles. Didn't have any cavities growing up and only had one experience with getting the oral shots about 8 years ago which was a bad tooth I needed extracted, found a cheap quick route to go on a Sunday and I was grateful the tooth pain was gone but the shots were dreadful. Instant dentist anxiety from then on so when I got a cavity I pushed it off and it spread like the plague through alot of my teeth.
