Great job on custom piece
I had a stained glass panel which I wanted inset in a door which matched other doors in my house. Doug did the work I wanted for less than he quoted in less time than he predicted. I couldn't be more satisfied.
Average workmanship. Didn't complete job. Paint that didn't match current cabinets met with the comment: "it looked right in the shop." Difficult to work with when his plans and execution didn't meet expectations.
I went into Doug's shop after calling ahead to see if he was taking appointments. There was no answer. After I met with Doug, he accepted my project: a custom bookshelf. I was absolutely shocked about how many times he brought up that he doesn't like working any longer. I don't know if he was having a bad day, but I've never met a less passionate person about their craft. He never got back to me after I left.
Doug and his team are fantastic! We have an original ~100 year old door that we assumed was beyond repair. Not only did Doug fix it, he made it the door of our dreams. He kept us in the loop the entire time and was realistic about the condition of the door and what it would take to fix it. We will be using him for many more projects in the future!
