They have a women-only swimming session every Saturday from 6:30 to 8:00. There are three pools, including one with adjustable depth. Monash even has an underwater hockey club and offers free weekly swimming lessons for students. They also provide special equipment for students with disabilities, very cool!
We were recommended Doug Ellis by friends while looking for swimming lessons for our 4-year-old. When we called, we were told he’d need to attend a 15-minute trial so they could assess his level, as he already swims elsewhere. When we arrived, the receptionist had no record of our booking and said a trial wasn’t even necessary at his age. The worst swimming clasees ever had. DO NOT RECCOMENDED. The instructors are not trained, just the university students, part time job. Changing the instructors every week & they just try to pass the half an hour, doing something only for money. They do whatever they want to kill the time. Staff is not helpful either. Shower are cold. Brocken lockers are not fixing. Lack of parking & need to pay for parking at day time. Completetly waist of money and time.
I had a very bad experience at the Monash Swimming Pool. The staff were unhelpful and lacked proper communication skills. Every time I asked a question, I received different answers from different people, which was confusing and frustrating. I had requested to pause or cancel my membership as I was not going to be around for a while.
