The star is for the friendly service.... the food was horrible. My boyfriend and I have heard a lot great things about double happiness but it was the worst Chinese food we have ever had. We order 2 items... simple items too. One order springs rolls that taste like nothing but oil. I could not even finish my single bite it was so oily I had to spit it out. Our lunch was very fresh and tasted great. Wonton soup was so good we took home a qt. Looking forward to returning some evening for their dinner menu.
I went to Double Happiness for the first time this past weekend, And was I pleasantly surprised. We asked our server for a suggestion on a second dish to go with the pepper steak that we ordered ,and they recommended the Dry Wok.. It was great. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that loves chinese food.. The Jasmine tea was delicious. And I absolutely loved the Vegetable steamed Dumplings that we had as an appetizer. All in all , Great Food, Great Service! Would definitely return!

Firecracker Chicken is to die for! Each time I come to Wilmington for business, I make sure to come here! When I am at home in Dallas, I dream of Firecracker Chicken!
Extremely disappointed with the “host” staff. When arriving he originally quoted our party of 7 30-45mins. After waiting around 45mins he came to tell us our table would be ready in 10mins. 20mins later after seeing him sit another large table in front of ours I went back to the host stand to see what was going on. The host then apologized and told me that he made a mistake when quoting us 10mins. But proceeded to tell me that it was still going to be quite a while before we could be seated.
