I had a breast revision augmentation with Dr. Louis Wessels at Double Bay Day Hospital, and the experience was amazing. The nurses were incredibly caring, attentive, and always checking in to see how I was feeling. I can’t remember their names, but I remember they had Irish accent. I came here for surgery yesterday and had a wonderful experience. The girls at reception were very helpful. The two Irish nurses were very warm and kind. Dr Chao, the anaesthesiologist was very kind & made me feel very much at ease. And the anaesthetic assistant was also so bubbly and made me feel so much more comfortable before going in. I had a really great experience here at Double Bay Day Hospital and am very grateful to the team here. Thank you!
I recently went to double Bay day hospital for a breast augmentation surgery, From the moment I got there it was already over an hour delay for my surgery that has been planned for months in which I paid a lot of money for then I was lucky enough to have had one kind anaesthetic nurse who was really chatty and helpful throughout the process however after coming out of surgery including my original triage nurse I was treated poorly by the recovery nurses and was not taken seriously. Really professional and gentle experience with the single exception of the receiving nurse who was abrupt bordering on rude, and definitely not very welcoming, in fact distinctly short on empathy All the other nurses were fabulous and the whole experience was super efficient, smooth and pretty seamless. Big thank you to all (with the exception of the receiving nurse who should be encouraged to attend a long course on developing rapport)
3.5 stars. Firstly, a huge thank-you to the medical team, who were kind and caring, efficient, and made me feel at ease. The nurses in theatre/recovery and the one who found me a bed to lie down in were very kind. I was an absolute wreck before my procedure from only sleeping 2.5hrs the night before and a 25hr fast, plus I had a headcold so sore throat, felt feverish, woozy, nauseous, and exhausted - their kindness meant a lot to me, I was very thankful.
