I had a cancer removed and I was referred to Dr. McAllister's for 4-6 treatments of chemotherapy for Non-reoccurrence of cancer. First of all I have been treated with such kindness from Dr. McAllister and his empathetic and exceptionally knowledgeable wife who works with him forming a plan that allowed me to pick the day of the week and best time for me to have my treatments. Really rude receptionist on the phone then she transferred me to the insurance person and she was really rude too!! I asked if I could self pay because I didn't have insurance and they treated me like a dirty peasant. The two conversations left me feeling ashamed for not having insurance. It was really uncalled for and hurtful. Of course I want insurance and I explained that to them that I did try to get it but it cost too much. And they had thousands of dollars for deductibles, it seemed pointless and impossible. Also, they... read more
