Excellent!!! – This place brings me great memories. Whenever I came here for the first time, I was surprised that they had peking duck. It was absolutely delicious! It tasted just like the one I ate in London when I visited a few years ago. I have been looking for a great chinese place here in OK, and now I don't have to look any further.
Dot Wo, Never Again... – I visited this place during lunch today after hearing about it from a co-worker. She raved like this place was the best chinese food around, I disagree. Dot Wo is far from the best, not even close to good. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken with Hot & Sour soup. The soup was bland with almost no taste, I had no desire to finish it. When the chicken arrived it looked delicious but didn't taste it. Chicken was very dry and had very little taste. It seems they tried to drown the chicken in sauce and veggies... read more
Not the best..... – I'd like to start out by saying the atmosphere was great, waiters and waitresses were outstanding as was the service. I've read all the reviews for this place (not just on this site but others as well) and it seemed like they were gonna have very authentic, great food. The only bad review I saw was from greed and I have to say I agree with him. The food is pretty bad. greed had the pepper steak and I had the beef with broccoli. Same problem he had, meat was very tough and not tender at all. Not much taste... read more
Fabulous-and Enduring – I was a fan of Dot Wo's when it was over on Portland. After moving back to OKC after 20 years away, I was glad to reconnect with the same great fresh tasting food that I remembered. I've dined on seafood on many coasts, and eaten Chinese food all over the country. Dot Wo's compares favorably to everywhere else that I've eaten, and is heads above all the OKC Chinese Restaurants I've tried since returning. It would fit right in a more "destination" type setting-but then the prices would be accordingly h... read more
S. Penn location bad? – I been a perm customer at Dot wo on portland for years. There food has been number 1 in authentic chinese food for years. We haven't ever came close to the experience greed09 explained. He seems like someone that hired him to send out bad remarks about this restaurant. I disapprove his message. He seem like a very immature and have bad grammer. Running around talking bad about every asian restuarant from his profile. This guy should be ban.
WORST CHINESE FOOD EVER!!! – lets see, where to start? I recently moved to okc and I've been trying to find decent chinese food. I've been to a few different places and i have yet to find a place that is good. out of the 5 I've been to in the city, this is far by the worst. I had Golden Palace (buffet) and it was pretty bad but what do you expect out of a buffet place. I went to Dot Wo with my brother during lunch, which is reasonably priced but the food was horrible. I had the pepper steak w/ the hot and sour soup. soup was... read more
