Since we began as a fruit stand in 1948, Dorothy Lane Market has been locally owned and operated, and we have had lifelong relationships with local farmers. Most of our local products come from within an hour's drive away, and at maximum distance leaving the farm at breakfast and arriving to us by lunch time.

Hands down the best service, best selection and best grocer in the Midwest! I'll gladly spend my money here rather than anywhere else. I'm always happy when I visit DLM and much is due to the joy in those working here. You can tell a great deal about a company, when you see their employee's. DLM's employee's feel valued and they love their job and this speaks volumes to their customers. This is a big a part of their success! .

None finer! The availability of everyday and obscure items you need and superb service are second to none. They even sharpen my knives from time to time.
Always love heading to DLM, never been disappointed in the quality of their foodstuffs or the helpfulness of their staff. Especially true of the meat and berr/wine departments.
